INITIATIVE:

YPSWA initiates a campaign of writing letters by the Ukrainian pupils to President Trump, First Lady Melanie Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson to help preserve Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by stopping Russia waging war on Ukraine. 

YPSWA seeks partners and foundations, who could support and provide backing to the initiative.

CONCEPT:

Pupils from grade 1 through 12 are writing letters, hand-made post cards or drawing pictures that ask President Trump, First Lady Melanie Trump, Speaker Mike Johnson to stop Putin and his army from killing the innocent people of Ukraine and from destroying Ukrainian sovereign territory. 

The work by students could demonstrate: unjust war started by Putin, illegal annexation of the Ukrainian territory, advocate support for Ukraine, and increase pressure on Putin, so that he withdraws from Ukraine and ends the war.

The campaign could be implemented by the teachers of the Arts and English Language into their lessons, homework or assignments. YPSWA would provide them with templates, ideas and manuals on how to implement these lessons, etc.

Letters will be collected by the YPSWA and mailed to the White House and Congress.

A webpage/Instagram page will be created where all the letters and pictures will be also posted. Students can upload themselves or with the help of their parents to the Instagram page.
