EastUkrGeology

EastUkrGeology is a Ukrainian oil and gas exploration company, which is situated in the rich Dnipro-Donets Basin of Ukraine.

In this region, oil is deposited 4500m. deep; gas is deposited 5000-5800m. deep. The basin also contains methane gas and low-sulfur oil, whose density is 850-860kg/m3.

EastUkrGeology sits on two exploration gas fields: Rusanivka gas field and Pobyvanka gas-condensate field.

In 1983, Rusanivka gas field was tested. The test produced gas flow of 48,000 m.3/day, using 10-mm. pipe.

In 1981, Pobyvanka gas condensed well was drilled, producing gas flow of 62,000m.3/day, using 6-mm pipe. This well reached depth of 5170m.

Two fields were never commercially brought to exploitation since 1980s.

EastUkrGeology has experience of successful drilling 5600m. deep wells in difficult mining and geological conditions of the Dnipro-Donetsk Basin of Ukraine.

Specialists of the company have experience in leading companies: «Smith» and «Schlumberger».  It is equipped with the latest digital technology.

EastUkrGeology is ready to take on itself the whole organization of exploration for oil and gas projects, from design, drilling, management, construction of preliminary gas plants to connecting them to the existing deposits of gas mains.

EastUkrGeology specializes in:

Geo-technical and geo-chemical study of wells.

  1. Selection and surfacing of drilling bits while developing statistical data using IADC system.
  2. Developing programs of rinsing wells and service support of mud fluids.
  3. Selection of aggregates and production of parts of purification and preparation of drilling mud fluids while considering characteristics of each specific field.
  4. Development and implementation of technologies of pit-less drilling in ecologically vulnerable areas.

Full use of above mentioned services allows to obtain high and stable results even when drilling wells with outdated types of rigs.

1.    Geo-technical and Geo-chemical studies:

     Geo-technical study:   

Selection, preparation and study of physical properties of the drilling sludge, including:

  • fractional analysis of sludge;
  • determination the porosity of sludge;
  • determination the density of the sludge;
  • study of sludge under a microscope;
  • determination quantity of carbonate sludge;
  • fluorescence – bitumen analysis of sludge;
  • macroscopic description of rocks in the sludge;
  • formation of a geological section with sludge
  • identification of reservoirs and rapid determination of the nature of their saturation.

Geo-chemical study:

  •  Determination of hydrocarbon gases in the sludge;
  • Determination of the component composition of hydrocarbon gas C1 – C5

Geological and geo-chemical studies yield detailed information about the litho-logical characteristics of drilled rock and their saturation with fluids as well as the composition of these fluids.

Control drilling parameters:

  •  weight of the drilling tool;
  • WOB;
  • manifold pressure in the line;
  • number of pump strokes;
  • frequency of rotor revolutions;
  • fluid temperature at the outlet from the well;
  • torque on the rotor;
  • ROP;
  • amount of fluid in the tanks;
  • density of the drilling fluid.

Controlling and recording drilling parameters can effectively implement the surfacing of drilling bits, prevent accidents and complications during drilling, collect the necessary data for statistical analysis, as well as, optimization of the process following the posting of wells in a given area.

2.     Selection and surfacing of drilling bits while developing statistical data using IADC system.

Rational selection of sizes and high quality of rock cutting tools make the most of every bit – increase penetration rate and the driving of the bit, prevent complications, reduce the number of tripping operations, which leads to lower material costs and shorten the time of construction.

Using geological and statistical data, including obtained through our stations SCC during the previous drilling of wells, our specialists are developing a drill-bit program of well drilling and buy drilling bits from the world’s top manufacturers. The drill-bit engineer works in the SCC station, which allows him/her, with all the technological parameters of the process of drilling a well in real-time, efficiently manage this process.

In the process of drilling a client’s well, we provide a comprehensive and detailed report on surfacing drilling bits, including data on the characteristics of well drilling, operations carried out on the rig, and the actual drill bit program. This report allows for technical and technological and economic analysis of mining bits and service support in general.

3.     Developing programs of rinsing wells and service support of mud fluids.

Trouble-free wiring of wells is only possible with a well-chosen formulation of drilling fluids for each field, and constant quality control over them. Our qualified chemists analyze geological data, cut deposits and use them to create the most optimal rinsing solutions, using chemicals produced by Russian or leading chemical global companies. We have a special laboratory for testing drilling mud composition.

4.     Selection of aggregates and production of parts of purification and preparation of drilling mud fluids while considering characteristics of each specific field.

Keeping the mud fluid to the necessary boundaries is impossible without an effective purification treatment.

Based on the conditions of drilling area, our specialists can develop an optimal variant of purification and preparation of drilling fluids; make the selection of equipment based on the formula of price vs. quality; produce non-standard knots; conduct installation and commission equipment.

5.    Development and implementation of technologies of pit-less drilling in ecologically vulnerable areas.

It is not always possible in drilling oil and gas wells to use “barn” drilling method, that is, burying the sludge disposal on the actual site of drilling.

In environmentally sensitive areas all drilling sludge must be recycled and removed from the place of drilling. Our specialists have the experience of “pit-less” method of drilling oil and gas wells; development and operation of technological systems of processing and disposal of sludge, both individual and cluster; and in the use of the most modern manufacturing equipment.
