Meeting with the UWCC President Michael Ratushnyj in TorontoToronto – April 23, 2013 – Young Professionals and Skilled Workers Association (YPSWA), a consulting firm specializing in international education “Providence Group” with the Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Service (CUIAS) and Canada -Ukrainian Social Services – Toronto (CUSS) invite the Ukrainian-Canadian community to a meeting with Michael Ratushnyj, President of the Ukrainian World Coordinating Council (UWCC). Students from Ukraine, Ukrainians who are on a temporary visa status, Ukrainians with the permanent resident status, seniors and all those, who are interested in the activities UWCC.
Meetings will take place on the topic “New Labour Migration and traditional Ukrainian Diaspora in Canada.”
The meeting will take place:
- Tuesday, 30th April 2013 at 7pm:

- Plast Huculak Centre, «Centennial» Room at 516 The Kingsway in Etobicoke;
- Free admission, free parking;
- After the meeting – mingling with Mr. M. Ratushnyj;
- Refreshments served.
- Tuesday, 1st May 2013 at 2pm:
- Ukrainian Canadian Social Services – 2445 Bloor Street West in Toronto;
- Admission is free;
- After the meeting – mingling with Mr. M. Ratushnyj;
- Refreshments served.
Mr. M. Ratushnyj will be the key-note speaker. Eugene Duvalko, Executive Director of CUIAS and Stefan Horodecky, Executive Director of CUSS-Toronto Branch, will also participate in the meetings. Volodymyr Paslavskyi, president of YPSWA and president of Providence Group will act as a moderator of the round tables and meetings.
Attendees will learn about the following:
- new pension legislation in Ukraine and enrollment Canadian experience in the pension accrual returned to Ukraine;
- status of the foreign Ukrainian;
- grants for education for foreign Ukrainian;
- support for Ukrainian students who wish to study in Canada;
- on how to get a better job in Canada for immigrants;
- on uniform standards for Ukrainian and Canadian workers qualifications for recognition of specialties in Canada;
- involvement of all the ways necessary for the development of Ukrainian Canadian community in Canada;
- work and plans UWCC, etc..
The main goal of UWCC is strengthening of the Ukrainian community in the world through cooperation with domestic and foreign governments, business and civil society organizations.

Michael Ratushnyj: Date of birth: August 18, 1962. Member of Ukrainian Parliament of II, III, IV convocation. On August 21, 2011 – President UWCC. Together with his wife Lina has two daughters – Anna-Maria (born in 2003) and Bohdanna-Sophie (born 2007) and son Roman (born in 2011).
